When I lift the kettle from its stand with the switch still down (ie on) the switch stays down (on) and when I return the kettle empty to the stand. I am used to other kettles that trigger the switch to off when the kettle is lifted. The switch on this one remains down (on) but the element then seems to click on and off, remaining warm to hot without ever getting so hot it causes a major problem. I think the switch should click off when I lift it from the stand. It is easy to forget to manually switch it off if kettle is lifted, emptied and then returned to the stand. Is there a fault with my kettle?
